What does the admissions process entail and what are the typical timelines?
The ESSEC Master of Science (MSc) in Management is a top-ranked* program designed for graduates and final-year undergraduates with excellent academic and professional potential, who envision a career in management on an international scale. There are tentatively 4 rounds of application yearly in October, December, February and April for students who hold an international degree. The first phase of the admission process evaluates applicants across these fronts: i) quality and reputation of their undergraduate institution and program; ii) academic profile; and iii) management aptitude (in terms of GMAT score). Shortlisted applicants will then undergo an interview with two professors and an alumni member from the program.

What are some of the factors that help you assess the suitability of a student for your MSc in Mgt?
The MSc in Management programme embodies the pioneering spirit that is at the core of ESSEC’s DNA. We seek applicants who stand out from the crowd with their intellectual curiosity, desire to innovate and willingness to take risks. More importantly, we are looking for leadership potential beyond a strong academic profile. These traits are assessed during the panel interview where the applicants have to demonstrate a strong motivation to join ESSEC, and the extent to which they can fit well into the program.
What are some of the factors applicants should consider when deciding to enrol for your MSc in Mgt Programme?
There are 3 key features that distinguishes the ESSEC MSc in Management as a truly cutting-edge program. First and foremost, it is a program with unprecedented freedom, as no student undergoes the same curriculum. Those who are passionate in charting their own path will relish the flexibility to design their own curriculum according to their academic, career and life aspirations.
Secondly, the program offers unparalleled global and industry exposure through a plethora of choices. Students can either start the program in ESSEC’s campus in France or Singapore. To complete their elective credits, they can opt for an exchange program with any of our 94 partner universities, or select one of our 12 double-degrees with prestigious institutions such as Mannheim Business School and Nanyang Business School.
Students also enjoy a competitive edge in the job market through ESSEC’s extensive corporate networks. By the time they graduate, students have up to 9 months of international experience and 18 months of professional experience under their belt. Each student gets to acquire industry exposure through different modes, fields and countries of their choice. In the process, they embark on a journey of self-discovery, which helps them identify their professional strengths and steer them towards fulfilling career choices. 98% of our students secured employment within 6 months of graduation. According to the Financial Times 2016 Business Schools Ranking, the average salary of our alumni who have graduated
after 3 years is US$85,365.
Lastly, the program shapes individuals into leaders who are able to deal with the scale and complexity of tomorrow’s challenges with an open mind. Even in the first month of the program, students already start putting their critical thinking and problem-solving skills to the test by tackling real business challenges faced by client companies. They also learn how to collaborate in multi-cultural teams, which makes them wellplaced to adapt to a globalised business environment.
