As one of the Top 5 School of Education in the UK, University of Nottingham’s Master of Arts in Education and Postgraduate Diploma in Education are unique modular and flexible programmes designed to reflect the needs of individuals or organisational cohorts. While each module has its own particular focus, all are concerned with investigating contemporary educational issues in the light of economic and social contexts, appropriate literature and the shared experience of course members.

The programmes are delivered in an interactive and face-to-face environment taught entirely by academics from The University of Nottingham.

Both the MA Education and PGDip Education programmes will help you to deepen and refine your capacity for critical reflection on your education practices, and investigate contemporary educational issues with one of the world’s top universities.
You will need to meet these entry requirements:

Qualifications:
  • • A second class honours degree (or international equivalent)
  • • Applicants with other qualifications shall be considered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the University

English Language Requirements:
  • • GCSE / O-level English (as a first or second language) – Grade C; OR
  • • IELTS 6.5 (with no less than 6.0 in each element)
All courses are delivered in an interactive and face-to-face environment.
  • • Taught and awarded by the University of Nottingham
  • • Part-time: Saturday and Sunday Classes (Two weekends every Term)
  • • Duration: 12 months

All modules are 30 credits, except for the dissertation which is 60 credits.

Postgraduate Diploma in Education
The Postgraduate Diploma is awarded to students who have completed 120 credits of postgraduate courses above in 12 months.

Following the face-to-face teaching, module convenors will be available to support students with assignment related questions according to the University of Nottingham’s guidelines and students’ needs.

Assessment:
Each 30 credit module is assessed by a 6,000-word written assignment.

Award & Graduation:
Students who successfully complete all academic requirements of the programme will be awarded the Postgraduate Diploma in Education by the University of Nottingham.
