Postgraduate Certificate in Electrical Power Engineering
SIT offers practical skills-based Continuing Education and Training (CET) in advanced topics in Electrical Power Engineering to working professionals for career advancement in specialist, management tracks or for mid-career switching. Developed in alignment with the National Energy Competency Framework (NECF), the CET courses are available in multiple independent modules, each of 6 ECTS credits. Candidates who pass 4 modules (totalling 24 credits) with a CGPA of 2.5 or more will be awarded the Postgraduate Certificate in Electrical Power Engineering (PGCert EPE) by SIT. This graduate qualification signifies that the candidate has achieved competency in at least four advanced coursework modules in the area of Electrical Power Engineering. The PGCert EPE is also stackable for further qualification of MEngTech EPE.

Who Should Attend

  • • Electrical Engineers and Managers working in power/energy sector and built environment;
  • • Railway, Marine and Aerospace electrical power supply and propulsion professionals;
  • • Electrical and electronic engineering professionals in manufacturing, process and automation;
  • • Information Technology professionals in power and energy-related businesses;
  • • Researchers and educators in electrical engineering and urban sustainability-related areas;

Prerequisites

  • • Bachelor degree in Engineering
  • • At least one year of relevant working experience

Assessment and Certificate

An SITLEARN Certificate of Attainment for each module will be issued to participants who:
  • • Attend at least 75% of each module, and
  • • Participants who pass the Continuous Assessment and Exam Paper of the respective module will earn 6 ECTS credits, which are stackable for Postgraduate Certificate in Electrical Power Engineering.
Each EPE module comprises 12 weekly lessons and is offered in either the Sep Trimester or in the Jan Trimester. For more information, please click here
