What are some of the factors that help you assess the suitability of a student and why?
This program is very international by design. Not only are the nationalities different, but also industries – each participant comes from a different industry, to ensure there are different perspectives and meaningful exchanges in the classroom. So if you’ve got a profile with international exposure and feel that you can bring something to the EMBA table, we’ll definitely be interested.
Our EMBA program is very demanding, and as a result, we seek motivated and dedicated participants. The ESSEC & Mannheim Executive MBA Asia-Pacific was introduced to train a generation of high level professionals, business leaders and entrepreneurs from the private and public sectors. To fit this profile, aspiring applicants need to be more than experts in their sector, they need character and conviction to guide them through difficult situations. They need to show potential for leadership and a strategic vision of the future. They need to value dialogue, creativity, innovation, responsibility, excellence and openness. Most of all, they need to relish the challenge in everything they do.
What are some of the factors applicants should consider when choosing which EMBA to accept?
The business world is evolving at an unprecedented pace. Aspiring applicants must identify and consider the essential factors that affects businesses in the region and make sure that the program incorporates a broad range of courses to cover both soft skills and hard skills.
ESSEC Business School being the first business school outside of North America to be accredited by AACSB and also receiving accreditation from EQUIS for all of its programs is among the leading higher education institutions in management. While reputation of the school is of some importance, the content aspect is the most important to look into because an EMBA is a very individual and personal decision. Does the content of the program correspond to what you need in your career, at this moment, and to what you want to do in your future professional life? You must consider the program curriculum and the experience must be in line with your personal situation. Another factor to consider in choosing an EMBA program if it provides a highly interactive experiential learning through interaction among peers and professors which, can be experienced in a compact class size.
