Learn how new, innovative ways of leadership can help transform healthcare. The course focuses on the challenges presented to healthcare leaders and the roles that both clinicians and managers can play in reshaping healthcare services. It focuses on international systems and helps you to apply your learning to your workplace environment or through practically based case studies.

This programme is suitable for experienced clinicians and managers who wish to move into key positions and leadership role in healthcare.
Entry Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (Upper 2nd Class Honours degree or its equivalent) with minimum two years of management experience
  • Other qualifications - can be assessed on individual merits
English Proficiency Requirement
  • A minimum of C6 pass in English as First Language at GCE O-Level; or
  • IELTS 7.0 (with speaking and writing 6.5 and no other element below 6.0)
Candidates are subject to an interview. The final decision regarding admission into the programme will be made by the Programme Director of the University.
Mode of Delivery
The programme comprises 8 units delivered over two years through blended learning approaches. It is delivered through interactive lectures, seminars, and action learning via the University’s virtual campus. There are also 4 residential workshops led by the University faculty conducted within the two years.
Assessment
Participants are assessed by continuous assessment through coursework, individual and group based written assignments, work-based or case study applications to apply the concepts and tools to actual scenarios and challenges within the healthcare organisation. Assessment may include both individual and group presentations. 
Assignments are set within the context of personal and organisational development, taking into account of the need to encourage a leadership style that is patient-centred in which supports the improvement of healthcare organisations.

There will not be any refund or recourse should the student fail to complete the programme within the candidature period.
 
Minimum Class Size
20
 
In the event that the class cannot commence due to low take-up rate, applicants will be informed within one month before programme commencement.
